Ethernet Extenders

Ethernet Extenders are an innovative communications tool that can save integrators and installers large sums of money.

An Ethernet Extender can use existing low-grade (Cat 1) cabling to Extend Ethernet links up to 10km. Over shorter distances, a data rate of up to 50Mbps can be achieved providing fast communications over very low cost cable.

The Model 2172 provides a very cost-effective and flexible (supports many line-rates) Ethernet extension solution and can be used in conjunction with the Model 2172R - a rugged, wide operating temperature version.

The Model 1173 is an Ethernet Extender that has been optimised for IP Camera extension applications.

Model 2157 is an Ethernet Extender that can operate up to 10km - a 100 times increase of the usual distance limit associated with Ethernet. It also benefits from an auto line-rate facility which automatically selects the optimum transmission speed.
